Announcement in relation to EU and US sanctions

In relation to the inclusion to the EU sanctions list of Sberbank Russia, of which Sberbank Europe AG is a subsidiary, Sberbank Europe AG notes:

Sberbank Russia is the largest retail bank not only in Russia, but also in Central and Eastern Europe.

Sberbank Russia is a public company with an impeccable international reputation, the shares and GDRs of which are listed on the world's leading stock exchanges, over a third of the bank's shares are owned by investors from Europe and the United States, among the shareholders of Sberbank there are 217,000 individuals.

In its operation Sberbank is guided by international best practice in its corporate governance, strictly adheres to the laws of the countries of its presence and meets all the standards of the European and American regulators.

Sberbank Europe AG, headquartered and licensed in Austria, and its 9 subsidiary businesses in Central and Eastern Europe are not included on the US list of sanctioned entities. In addition, Sberbank Europe AG and its EU subsidiaries are not subject to EU sanctions and accordingly are not restricted in their access to the EU capital markets or in any other aspect.
