Sberbank Europe co-financing loan facility to Uralkali

Sberbank Europe AG participated in a syndicated loan to Uralkali, one of the world’s largest potash producers. Uralkali has signed a loan agreement with 16 international banks in the amount of US$1.2 billion. Sberbank Europe acted as Coordinating Mandated Lead Arranger and Bookrunner of the pre-export finance facility and provided a EUR 125 million facility to Uralkali.

ING Bank N.V., Natixis and AO UniCredit Bank acted as Global Coordinators. Other Coordinating Mandated Lead Arrangers and Bookrunners were ING Bank N.V., Natixis, AO UniCredit Bank, Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Bank and Public Joint-Stock Company Rosbank.

Anton Vishanenko, Uralkali CFO, commented:
"The new self-arranged credit facility demonstrates strong commitment from leading international banks to provide financing support to Uralkali. Despite unstable situation on commodity markets the Company managed to attract the largest syndicated loan in its history from 16 banks-participants".

The interest rate is LIBOR plus 325 bps margin with a loan maturity of five years. The loan will be used for general corporate purposes including refinancing of Uralkali’s existing loans.
